Finding Open Access Journals
Here are a few approaches to finding open-access journals:
- Using the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ): Till December 2024, DOAJ is listing 21,175 peer-reviewed open access journals. Researchers can use DOAJ filters to find free-to-publish journals. However, one has to visit the official website of the journal or the Clarivate website to check the journal’s SCIE status. DOAJ doesn’t provide this facility.
- Using the PhDTalks journal Finder: PhDTalks provides an online journal finder tool to find various types of journals.
- Journals by reputed publishers: Many publishers like Springer, and Elsevier offer discounts or full fee waivers for publishing in their open-access journals.
