The British Academy is accepting application forms for International Fellowships from around the world to pursue high-quality research at leading UK institutions.
The International Fellowships Programme enables researchers to work for two years at a UK institution to build a globally connected, mobile research and innovation workforce.
This fellowship programme aims to retain emerging international research talent in the UK. It supports quality research.
Applicants can apply online by 11 March 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a PhD or be in the final stages of their PhD, and should have no more than five years of active full-time postdoctoral experience.
- Applicants should be working outside the UK at the time of application and not hold UK citizenship.
- They have a clearly defined and mutually beneficial research proposal agreed with a UK host researcher.
Subjects Covered
The International Fellowships are delivered by the British Academy and the Royal Society in the following subjects:
- British Academy – social sciences and humanities
- Royal Society – natural sciences, including biological research, biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, and physics.

However, i only hold a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Lira UniversityUganda, and was just admitted for PGD. In computer science at Kampala InternationalUniversity. ( aiming at getting software skills to build an MVP).
