This blog post aims to provide researchers with an updated view of the performance of Indian scholarly journals.
In 2026, according to Scopus, there are 534 Indian journals currently indexed in Scopus. Among these, 229 journals are Open Access, while 79 Diamond Open Access journals allow authors to publish without any publication fee. 249 Indian journals now have an official Journal Impact Factor in JCR 2026.
