The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) has announced the Call for Proposals for the prestigious J. C. Bose Grant. This grant aims to recognise active senior scientists and engineers in India for their outstanding contributions and sustained excellence in research.
Eligible Researchers can send their applications before 10 February 2026.
Objective of the Grant
The J. C. Bose Grant is designed to:
- Recognise senior scientists and engineers with proven research excellence
- Support long-term, high-quality research through extramural funding
- Promote innovation in cutting-edge research areas in India
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be an active senior scientist or engineer
- Have an outstanding research record demonstrated through:
- Publications
- Patents
- Technology transfers
- Awards and recognitions
- Major research outcomes
- Be an Indian national
- Be working at a recognised Indian institution or university
Areas Covered
Research Area includes all areas of Science and Technology, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Duration
- 5 years
- Grant can be availed up to 68 years of age
- Can continue after superannuation if the host institute agrees
