The total amount for these fellowships ranges from ₹35,000 to ₹2.0 lakhs, and the fellowship period varies from 3 months to 3 years. However, the duration is often extendable.
An annual contingency grant and House Rent Allowance (HRA) are also provided.

ICMR invites applications for “ICMR Centenary-Post Doctoral Fellowship” from the fresh PH.D./MD/MS within three years of completing their PH.D./MD/MS degree (awarded).
Age Limit: 2 years, relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH and women candidates.

Post Doctoral Fellowships are awarded to scholars who have shown significant competence in research work, having been awarded their PhD or have done equivalent research work of merit in History or its allied subjects.
