UGC guidelines for PhD thesis format 2023. Thesis, also known as a dissertation. The thesis may include total pages ranging from 120 to 250. However, the range may vary from one subject to another. In this blog post, we are discussing a very basic format for PhD Thesis.
The PhD Thesis starts from a front page (title page) followed by a certificate by Supervisor, Declaration by Student certificate, and so on. The whole structure of PhD Thesis is presented below:

It acts as an indexer of your entire thesis.
List of Table
On this page, you will list all the tables you have used in your thesis with serial numbers and page numbers.
General format and layout
Paper format: Use the standard A4 format
Size & line spacing: The text should be in 12-point characters and 1.5-spaced lines. The text should be justified.
Font: Choose a commonly used font that provides a full character set, for example, Times which is widely used in research.
