Scopus Call for Papers: Special Issue on Law, Literature, and Justice in the SAARC Region

The Journal of Underrepresented and Minority Progress (JUMP) invites original research papers for a Scopus-indexed special issue titled Law, Literature, and Justice in the SAARC Region: An Inquiry through Marginal Voices

The special issue focuses on how literary works, personal narratives, testimonies, and storytelling can expose legal injustices and contribute to discussions on justice and legal reform across South Asia.

All accepted papers will be indexed in Scopus. Moreover, there is no publication fee for publishing in this journal.

The journal is indexed in Scopus, and the Abstract submission deadline is 31 December 2026.

  • Storytelling and testimony as legal advocacy
  • Lived legal exclusion of displaced communities
  • How far does literature function as a cited source shaping legal proceedings in South Asian jurisdictions beyond India?
  • Alternative and community-based justice systems
  • Censorship, obscenity trials, and free-expression cases involving South Asian writers, read as sites where law and community voice collide.
  • Literary texts as Legal Subjects framing obscenity laws and ideas of free expression.
