The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has officially opened applications for the AICTE Post-Doctoral Fellowship (APDF) Scheme 2025–26.
This is an excellent opportunity for PhD graduates to pursue full-time postdoctoral research in AICTE-approved institutions across India.
The fellowship supports researchers working in:
- Engineering and Technology
- Management
- Computer Applications
- Design
- Hotel Management and Catering Technology
- Planning
- Applied Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics)
- Applied Arts, Crafts and Design
- Interdisciplinary Research Areas
Who Can Apply?
Candidates who have completed a Ph.D and are willing to work in an AICTE-approved Institute or University.
Interested candidates must obtain a Candidate Unique ID from their proposed institute or university before submitting their application.

Applicants need to upload scanned copies of the following documents:
- Qualified examination score card
- Postdoctoral research proposal
- Aadhaar Card
- Aadhaar-seeded savings bank account details
- Valid SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS certificate (if applicable)
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) signed by Supervisor/ Head of Department (HOD) Registrar/Director of the Institute or University
