The prestigious Sir Ratan Tata Post-doctoral Fellowship 2026 is now open for applications. The fellowship is offered at the London School of Economics and Political Science in partnership with the Sir Ratan Tata Trust.
This fellowship provides early-career researchers from South Asia an opportunity to conduct advanced social science research.
Candidates can submit their applications online by 30 June 2026.
The selected Fellow will spend six months at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He will be conducting research broadly related to economic and social development in India and the South Asian region.
During the fellowship period, the researcher is expected to complete a publishable-quality research paper.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Should be an early-career post-doctoral researcher working in social science with a focus on South Asia
- Must already hold a PhD degree
- Candidates enrolled in degree or diploma programmes are not eligible
- Senior academics are not eligible
- Applicants must be in permanent employment at an established institution in the SAARC region
