The Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC) has officially opened the 2026 call for proposals under the Women Involvement in Science and Engineering Research (WISER) program.
The WISER program is a bilateral initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), Government of Germany.
The initiative aims to strengthen international collaboration between women researchers in India and Germany. It promotes innovation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
Interested Researchers can submit their applications online between 1 February 2026 and 31 March 2026.

Who can apply?
Women researchers who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:
- Hold a regular or long-term research position in academia, research institutes, or industry
- Have at least 5 years of research experience
There is no age limit for applicants.
How to apply?
The WISER program invites women researchers from India and Germany to submit joint research proposals. Each proposal must include two Principal Investigators (PIs): One woman PI from Germany and one woman PI from India.
Applications must be submitted jointly by both Principal Investigators through the online Application Portal.
Proposals can be submitted in any area of STEM.
