The Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics (SJES) invites original research papers for its upcoming for its special data-focused collection titled SJES Data.
Researchers from economics and related disciplines are invited to submit manuscripts that describe high-quality, reusable datasets and promote transparency and reproducibility in research.
This collection is ideal for scholars who want to increase the visibility and reuse of their datasets without focusing on hypothesis testing or novel empirical findings.
Moreover, there is no publication fee because the article processing charge (APC) is covered by the Swiss Society of Economics & Statistics.
The journal is indexed in Scopus, and the submission deadline is 30 June 2026.

What kind of Papers are Welcome?
- Improve the visibility, reproducibility, and reuse of valuable scientific data.
- Include detailed descriptions of experimental, observational, computational, or curated data and link to publicly archived datasets.
- Papers should not include hypothesis testing or analysis aimed at new scientific knowledge arising from this dataset.
Acceptance Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
- Completeness and clarity of the data description
- Scientific value and potential for data reuse
- Transparency of data generation and collection methods
Submission Process
Authors must submit their manuscripts through the journal’s official submission system. During submission:
- Select “Yes” when asked if you are submitting to a Thematic Series
- Choose “SJES Data” from the dropdown list
All submissions will undergo SJES’s standard blind peer-review process and follow the journal’s regular editorial policies.
Articles will be added to the SJES Data Collection as soon as they are published.
