The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) provides partial financial assistance for organizing National and International scientific events (Conferences, Seminars) under the Seminar/Symposia (SSY) Scheme.
The primary objective of this Scheme is to provide financial assistance on a selective basis to encourage the Participation of young scientists and research professionals in organizing research-oriented academic events.
Academic institutions, research laboratories, professional bodies, and other non-profit organisations engaged in promoting scientific research are eligible for financial support under the scheme.
ANRF primarily supports events with a strong research orientation in the following fields:
- Basic Sciences
- Engineering and Technology
- Agriculture
- Medicine

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be an Indian citizen residing in India and hold a regular position in a recognized academic institution, national laboratory, or R&D institution.
The application must be submitted not earlier than 180 days and not later than 60 days before the event start date.
Online Application Procedure
Steps:
- Register on the ANRF online portal.
- Log in and navigate to: Menu → Proposal Submission → Form Submission
- Select the scheme: “Seminar/Symposia (SSY).”
- Click “Start Submission”
During submission, you must enter:
- Name of Event (max 500 characters)
- Venue (max 500 characters)
- Keywords (up to 6 words)
- Objectives of the event (max 6000 characters)
- Estimated expenditure details
- RTGS/Salary breakup
Mandatory Enclosures
- Certificate from the Convener.
- Endorsement Letter from the Head of Institution.
- Announcement Brochure.
- Technical Program with session-wise details and the name of the session chair/co-chair.
- List of Keynote Speakers.
