Clarivate regularly updates the Web of Science Core Collection through its monthly Journal List updates. These updates reflect journals that are newly accepted, editorially de-listed, production de-listed, or ceased due to various quality and publishing criteria.
In this blog post, we summarize the changes made by Clarivate in 2025, highlighting the number of journals added and removed each month.
A total of 505 journals, including ESCI, AHCI, SSCI, and SCIE, were accepted to be included in the Web of Science Collection. 40 journals ceased publication, making them permanently ineligible for coverage.
