The Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM) at RIS is inviting applications from eligible researchers for its Doctoral and Postdoctoral Research Fellowships.
The scheme offers Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships for Indian researchers working on policy-relevant research related to Indian Traditional Medicine and the AYUSH sector.
The Scheme supports policy-relevant research on the economic, social, legal, regulatory, governance, technological, and international dimensions of Indian Traditional Medicine.

FITM will offer 20 fellowships in total—10 Doctoral Fellowships and 10 Post-Doctoral Fellowships.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed under the FITM Research Fellowship Scheme.
Applicants must be citizens of India. These fellowships are for those who are not receiving any other fellowships.
For Doctoral Fellowship
- Applicants must hold a Post-Graduate degree and be registered for a Doctoral programme at an institution recognised by the UGC, NCISM or NCH.
- The age of the applicant must not be more than 40 years of age on the last date of application.
For Post-Doctoral Fellowship
- Applicants must hold a Doctoral degree awarded not more than three years before the last date of application.
- The applicants must be registered for a Post-Doctoral programme at a recognised institution, such as CSIR, ICMR, DBT, a National Institute, a recognised University or a National Institute of Ayush.
- The age of the applicants should not be more than 45 years of age on the last date of application.
