The programme supports scholars with a doctoral degree and an outstanding academic record.
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated fellowship of ₹70,000 per month for one year.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- The applicant must be a resident Indian.
- The applicant must be below 40 years of age.
- Candidates must have secured at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent in their Master’s degree.
- Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in broad areas related to Economics, Public Policy, Energy and Environment Policy
- Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. thesis within the last two years are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Applicants who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis by 31 July 2026 are also eligible to apply.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through an evaluation of their application and submitted materials, followed by an interview at IGIDR.
