The Department of Science and Technology (DST), in collaboration with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), has announced the India-Japan Cooperative Science Programme (IJCSP) Call for Proposals 2026.
Applications must be submitted jointly by one Japanese Principal Investigator (PI) and one Indian Principal Investigator (PI).
This initiative provides an excellent opportunity for scientists, faculty members, and researchers from both countries to work together.
Support is available for Joint Research Projects and Joint Workshops/Seminars.

How to Apply?
The proposal has to be developed jointly by Indian and Japanese researchers.
The same proposal must be submitted simultaneously to DST (India) and JSPS (Japan). Indian researchers must submit applications through the DST online portal.
Required documents include:
- Completed DST application form
- CVs of Indian and Japanese research teams
- Letter of intent between collaborating investigators
- Institutional approvals
