The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) invites applications for its prestigious Post-Doctoral Programme under Regular Post-Doctoral Fellowships. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career researchers in the physical sciences to advance their research in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment.
The Indian Institute of Astrophysics is an Autonomous Institute under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. It is a premier institute devoted to research in astronomy, astrophysics, and related physics.
The fellowship is normally for two years. Interested researchers can submit their applications by 2nd June 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should have completed their Ph.D. or successfully defended their thesis in the Physical Sciences at the time of application.
The Research interests must align with ongoing work at IIA
Candidates should preferably be below the age of 36 years.

₹58,000/month for Fresh Ph.D.
₹61,000/month to the candidates with 1–2 years of postdoc experience
₹67,000/month to the more experienced candidates
