The Centre for Budget and Policy Studies has officially invited applications for the CBPS Research Fellowship 2026-27. This is a one-year fellowship programme designed for young scholars who are interested in public policy and social science research.
Interested candidates can apply by 31 May 2026.
The fellowship offers an excellent opportunity for undergraduates and graduates to gain hands-on research experience while working with experienced researchers in a rigorous academic environment.
During the fellowship, participants will:
- Work on ongoing research projects
- Attend seminars, workshops, and in-house talks
- Gain exposure to public policy research methodologies
- Interact with researchers and policy experts
- Develop academic and professional research skills

Application Process
Candidates must submit the following documents:
- Statement of Purpose (SoP)
A write-up explaining the candidate’s interest in research related to the fellowship themes. The SoP should not exceed 1500 words. - Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume
The resume must be submitted in MS Word format. - Two Letters of Reference
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
