The IPDF at IIT Guwahati is a prestigious opportunity for researchers to pursue advanced research under expert faculty mentorship. The program is open to both Indian and international candidates.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must hold a PhD degree with a first-class academic record
- At least 2 research papers published in peer-reviewed journals
- Must not have completed 5 years since PhD viva
- Candidates who completed a PhD from IIT Guwahati are not eligible
- Age must not be more than 35 years. Age relaxation is provided to the female candidates and the candidates with SC/ST/OBC/PwD Categories.
Application Process
Candidates have to submit their applications online with documents and one research proposal.
Each prospective IPDF may apply to a maximum of TWO academic divisions. However, applying to the second
one is OPTIONAL.
Each prospective IPDF has to provide the names of three (3) Potential Mentors (on a preference basis) against his/her Research Interest.
Fellowship Salary & Benefits
Monthly Fellowship
- ₹60,000/month + 18% HRA (1st year)
- ₹5,000 annual increment (based on performance)
