Short Term Visiting Fellowship at NLSIU for PhD holders or researchers

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is receiving applications for a Short Term Visiting Fellowship at the JSW Centre for the Future of Law (JSW-CFL). This fellowship offers an excellent opportunity for experienced scholars and researchers to pursue interdisciplinary research at one of India’s premier law universities.

Eligible researchers can apply online by 03 February 2026.

Thematic Priority Areas

Applicants should propose research aligned with one or more of the following themes:

  • Law and Artificial Intelligence
  • Data Governance and Regulation
  • Health, Biotechnology, and Ethics
  • Risk Regulation and Regulatory Design
  • Climate, Biodiversity, and Ecological Justice
  • Technology and Legal System Reform

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must hold a PhD in law, social sciences, public policy, or allied disciplines, or have at least 10 years of experience in research or academic roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one thematic priority area
  • Proven research output, including publications or equivalent work

How to apply?

Applicants must submit their application via the Google Form and include the following documents:

  1. Updated CV
  2. Statement of Purpose or a short video (maximum 3 minutes via YouTube link) explaining the research proposal and suitability
  3. Research proposal aligned with one of the Centre’s six themes
  4. One writing sample (preferably a solo-authored published work)
  5. No Objection Certificate (if currently employed)
  6. Contact details of two referees
