Calls for Proposals: Collaborative Scientific Research Programme (CSRP) 2026

CEFIPRA / ICFPAR is accepting research proposals from research groups in advanced areas of basic and applied science to nurture scientific competency.

About CEFIPRA

CEFIPRA / IFCPAR, established in 1987, is an Indian body that promotes scientific cooperation between France and India in advanced fields of Science and Technology. It is being supported by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, and the Ministry for Europe & Foreign Affairs, Government of France.

CEFIPRA, through the Collaborative Scientific Research Programme (CSRP), supports research groups through collaborative scientific research projects. The research groups must include at least two principal collaborators (one from India, one from France).

Interested researchers can submit full proposals through the CEFIPRA Online Submission.

Thematic Areas

1. Health Sciences:

i) One Health & Climate Change,
ii) Early detection of emerging/important pathogens,
iii) Developments of new vaccines and therapeutics for infectious diseases,
iv) AI for early diagnosis of emerging/important diseases,
v) Comprehensive studies on metabolic and cardiovascular diseases and
vi) Novel therapeutics and biologicals for emerging/important diseases.

2. Marine Sciences:

i) Underwater Systems,
ii) Instrumentation & Robotics,
iii) Advanced Materials for Floating and Mobile Systems,
iv) Geosciences from the Coast to Deep Waters,
v) Physics and Biochemistry of Oceans,
vi) Oceans Observations & Modeling including the Ocean & Climate Nexus,
vii) Ocean & Climate and Marine Biology & Pollution.

Eligibility

  • Principal Collaborators and Joint Collaborators (Indian & French) should have a permanent position in an Indian or French University/R&D Institution.
  • They should meet the national level eligibility criteria.
  • An ORCID/ResearcherID is mandatory for submitting a proposal under the programme.

How to apply?

Collaborators must submit a Joint Full Proposal to CEFIPRA through the online portal system.

Proposals should be original, collaborative, and of high scientific quality.

At least two scientists, one each from India and France, as Principal Collaborators.
