The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) has announced the Call for Proposals under the Inclusivity Research Grant (IRG) Program for 2026.
The scheme provides research funding to eligible researchers from the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories to undertake research in frontier areas of Science and Engineering.
The IRG 2026 application window is open from 1 October 2026 to 3 November 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be an Indian National.
- The applicant must be an active researcher belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
- The applicant should be working on a regular basis in a recognized Indian Institution.
- The applicant should hold a PhD in Science or Engineering, or an MD/MS/MDS.
- The applicant should have at least four years of service remaining before superannuation as of the date of submission of the proposal.
- Co-investigators are not allowed under this scheme.

Step 3: Enter project details. During proposal submission, applicants will need to provide important project information, including:

- Project Summary – maximum 3,000 characters

- Objectives of the Project – maximum 1,500 characters
- Expected Output and Outcome – maximum 1,500 characters
- Budget
