Who can apply for the CSIR Emeritus Scientist Scheme?
Eligible applicants include eminent scientists from across India who are recognized experts in their fields and have been actively engaged in scientific research during the five years preceding their superannuation.
How to Apply?
Eligible scientists are required to submit their research proposal online through the CSIR-HRDG Emeritus Scientist Scheme Portal.
Important Dates
The Cut-off date for consideration of applications for the first cycle of FY 2027 is 30th September 2026.
After successful online submission, the applicant must send the Original Declaration Certificate duly signed and stamped by the Head of the Institution, mentioning the Proposal ID generated upon submission, by post to the following address on or before 10th October 2026.
