The CERN Summer Student Programme is offering an exciting opportunity for university students to spend 8 to 13 weeks at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.
The CERN Summer Student Programme allows students to experience life inside a major international research organisation.
The selected students will work on scientific and technical projects in an international research environment.
Participants will work on individual projects within CERN departments, and attend lectures by leading scientists.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at the time of application.
- Have completed at least six semesters of full-time university studies.
- Remain enrolled as a full-time student until at least the start of the summer studentship.
- Have a good knowledge of English.
- Have not previously participated in the CERN Summer Student Programme.
- Have not worked at CERN for more than three months under another status.
Application Process
Applicants have to submit an online application. The application generally requires CV in English or French, Academic reference letter and other information requested through the application system.
CERN reviews applications and shortlisted candidates may be invited for an online interview.
Successful candidates receive an offer from CERN.
