The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, invites applications for Post-Doctoral Fellowship (IPDF). IISc offers an outstanding platform for early-career researchers to advance their scientific careers.

This fellowship is open to Indian nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and foreign applicants.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. However, applications will be reviewed quarterly, i.e., 31 March, 30 June, 30 September, and 31 December.

Eligibility

Candidates applying for a Post Doc must hold a PhD with First Class or equivalent in previous degrees.

Age should be below 32 years.

How to Apply?

Candidates must first contact a faculty member in the Institute who is willing to host the candidate. A consent letter is required from the faculty member stating that he is ready to host the candidate.

Candidates submit an application through the official IISc portal. The following documents are required along with the application:

  • CV with publication list
  • 2–5 research papers
  • Research proposal (max 500 words)
  • Faculty consent letter
  • PhD certificate/thesis submission proof
  • Any additional supporting documents
