The Humboldt Research Fellowship supports postdoctoral and experienced researchers from all disciplines to conduct independent research in Germany.
The fellowship is open to researchers of all nationalities and all research areas.

Eligibility
For Postdoctoral Researchers
Candidates applying for a Postdoctoral fellowship must have completed a PhD within the last 4 years. They must have a strong publication record.
For Experienced researchers
Candidates applying for an experienced researcher fellowship must have completed their degree within the last 12 years. Further, the candidates must hold extensive publications and leadership qualities.
Applicants from all countries (except Germany) are eligible.
Required Documents
Candidates must upload the following documents
- curriculum vitae (max 2 pages)
- Research proposal (max 5 pages)
- Publication list
- PhD certificate
- Two expert recommendations
- German host acceptance letter
