Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) is receiving research proposals from Indian Institutions under the ANRF Catalytic Partnership Program 2026.
The Catalytic Partnership Program is a highly selective funding initiative aimed at building world-class research and innovation institutions in India.
This scheme is designed to catalyse big ideas that would not be possible without strategic support from ANRF.
The call for proposals under the ANRF Catalytic Partnership Program is open from 01-April-2026 to 01-May-2026 (5:00 pm).

Objectives of the Program
The program aims to:
- Establish competitive research institutions
- Encourage academia–industry partnerships
- Support deep-tech innovation ecosystems
- Promote the financial sustainability of institutions
- Build future talent through PhD and postdoctoral programs
Eligibility
- The program is strictly institutional in nature. No individual-centric projects will be supported.
- Only one proposal per institution can be submitted.
- Proposal shall be submitted by the Head of the Institution.
- The Minimum project cost is ₹100 crore.
Evaluation Process
An Expert Committee will review proposals. The recommendations of the Expert Committee shall be placed before the ANRF Executive Council, which shall be the final deciding authority.
Evaluation criteria include:
- Clarity of ANRF’s catalytic role
- National relevance
- Innovation and “net newness.”
- Strength of partnerships
- Governance and sustainability
